About Us
Founded in 1991 as Archibald’s Deli now known as Salty Dogs Cafe & Bark Bar. We are located 2 miles from Holden Beach in the heart of Brunswick County. Steve and Lora Smith (owners) and their staff specialize in serving the finest sandwiches, burgers, salads, pies, and of course Lobster Rolls. We are where the locals go first to come eat, enjoy a drink, and let their dog(s) play in our own off-leash dog park.
2015 – 2017
Humble Beginnings
Founded in 1991 as Archibald's Deli now known as Salty Dogs Cafe & Bark Bar. with a simple vision: to create a place where people could enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals made with love. Starting as a small family-run restaurant.
2018 – 2020
Expanding Horizons
we take pride in serving the area’s finest sandwiches, burgers, salads, homemade pies, and our famous Lobster Rolls. We’re more than just great food — we’re a community spot where locals come to relax, grab a drink, and let their dogs enjoy some fun in our off-leash dog park. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, Salty Dogs Café is where good food meets good company — both human and furry.

Dog Park Rules
- No Aggressive Dogs
- No Dogs in Heat
- No outside food, drink, Alcohol or Treats
- Puppies must be at least 6 months old
- Dogs must be supervised by a guardian 16+ years of age at all times
- Clean up after your pet and use the approved waste receptacles
- Inside the bar area dogs must be on a leash
- Humans and dogs can be removed at any time for not following rules
